Church Leadership

Reverend Betsy Stephenson

Priest - in Charge

Betsy came to Grace Church in 2018 to do her field work as a seminarian, and she just never left! She graduated from the Iona School for Ministry and was ordained deacon in 2020. She was ordained priest in 2021 and has served as priest-in-charge of Grace Church since that time. She and her husband John have four adult married children and six (so far!) grandchildren. Betsy grew up in Dallas and is a life-long Episcopalian. She and John live in Round Mountain.

Betsy believes that Jesus’ love extends to everyone, no exceptions, and that all people are created in God’s image. She extends a big welcome to all who desire God and a deeper understanding of God’s Son Jesus Christ. We are all on a common journey, and we are better together in community.

Howard Balsdon,

Senior Warden

Howard serves as our Sr. Warden, assisting our priest with church projects, activities, and business of the church vestry.

John Williams,

Junior Warden

As the junior warden, John is responsible for the upkeep of the parish buildings and grounds.

John’s other interests include enjoying the natural world and volunteering in community service activities. After working thirty years for the Harris County Health Department, he retired so he could work summers in Yellowstone National Park and spend the rest of the year in Llano County. Since 2018 assisting in the care of aging family members has been a meaningful part of John and his wife Jo’s lives.
